Nick Africano
Nick Africano
A son of the moon. A butterfly bull. Nick Africano is a songwriter, multi-intrumentalist, band-leader, solo performer, producer, and experiments with watercolors and poetry. His style defies the confines of genre, and lives in the mysterious space of rock and roll, storytelling, and folk music. In an ether of contradiction. Lyrics often softly spoken, or soulfully crooned. His live performances are captivating and spontaneous, moving between acoustic guitar, resonator guitar, and piano.

The process of making this album so far has been incredibly special to me. It started in 2012 in the middle of promoting my previous record. After a couple major life changes, I put all else on hold and began recording this project. I felt a sense of urgency. It was something I needed to make. Along the way it wouldn’t have been possible without my amazing band and amazing friends. It was executively produced by myself with the help of two dear friends, recorded partly with our dear friend Eric’s guitar, Fancy, and performed and recorded with even more close friends right here in Brooklyn at Galuminum Foil Studio. I’ve felt an amazing sense of gratitude these past 2 years for the chance to make this work with such talented, passionate people.
Stone & Snow
Stone & Snow
Singer-songwriters Karen Bridges and Clint Thomson have been crafting their unique style of folk music in Bloomington-Normal since 2012. The combination of Bridges' soulful, soaring vocals and Thomson's roots-influenced guitar in their collaborative songwriting results in a folk sound that can only be described as their own.

With a name that gives a nod to the Rocky Mountains, Stone & Snow released their debut album, "These Are The Hills" in 2014 after a wildly successful crowd-funding campaign. The album is a monumental collection of fifteen melancholy folk songs on love, loss and exploration amidst the imagery of the landscape to which their name makes reference. The music took them on the road to places like the Taste of Chicago and the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee.

Fast forward to 2016, and the duo is quick on the heels of their second successful crowd-funding campaign and ready to release their sophomore album on May 6th. Self-produced in collaboration with David Rossi (former drummer for Chicago-based band, Allister) of Bombsight Recording, the new album represents the next level in their journey as songwriters, evolving into a more electric sound while maintaining their folk roots and delving into themes about the ghosts we leave behind, the devils we know, and how to love through the zombie apocalypse.
