Pantera is a band that took metal to the next level. Pantera emerged in the 90’s and came from being an underground phenomenon to multiplatinum arena touring act within a few short years. They combined groove rock/metal/and thrash and created a music that took fans by storm. So what does it take to play the music of Pantera? It takes dedication, hard work and a love for the music of Pantera. This is where Cemetery Gatez comes from, a desire to play the music of Pantera and play it with the perfection it deserves. The band started out as a band called Spine in early 1995 and spent the next two years covering the music of White Zombie, Anthrax, Metallica and Pantera. The shift to a full-time Pantera tribute band came in early 1997 after fans and friends continuously raved about the bands treatment of the Pantera’s songbook, this is when Spine the Pantera tribute was born. For the next three years the band took the Midwest by storm, touring Illinois and the surrounding states. The bands also played a lot of shows in the Chicago area and were even voted #1 tribute in the Midwest by Beat Magazine. The band feeling that a name more familiar with Pantera was needed, the band was reborn as Cemetery Gatez. Cemetery Gatez is back and more powerful than ever bringing Pantera to the fans the way it should be, loud and in your face. Pantera has a dedicated fan base like no other band in the history of metal. Cemetery Gatez is no exception to this and have played to sold out crowds across the Midwest. Like we say, “If you can’t have Pantera, get Cemetery Gatez”.
Bloodroot
Bloodroot
Combining intense incendiary live shows that will leave you drenched in awe; with richly textured powerful compositions that transcend the normal metal style, there’s no doubting Bloodroot is an intense band. In their twelve year career they have risen from the ashes like a phoenix. Soared to the top in their region time after time just waiting to be discovered like a diamond in the rough, there i...s no stopping this entity. Bloodroot’s songs will clench you by the throat, infect your soul and pulverize you into reality. The experiences they’ve gained in the Midwest metal scene and their constant effort to be determined, has metamorphosised them into driven song writers. The four piece who’s members consist of Max Mcallister(vocals), Kris Smith(guitars), Jeff Naffziger(bass), and Rory Butler(drums). Hailing from Peoria, Illinois and formed in 1998, Bloodroot has opened for a multitude of national acts, Disturbed, Soil, Pissing Razors, Quiet Riot, Skinlab and Mudvayne just to name a few. The best way to describe Bloodroot is a true American metal band. Taking influence from all genres of metal, and blurring the line between extreme and commercial, Like a well planned attack, there is no box you can properly pigeon hole Bloodroot into. Massive guitars, intense vocals, catchy choruses with pounding bass and drums are what make up the core sound of Bloodroot. Always striving to reinvent themselves and give their audience 100% is what keeps Bloodroot motivated to deliver. With one full length LP recorded early in their career and several demo’s later, this brutal foursome is ready to conquer anything in the future that will help the band continue to succeed. In 2011 Bloodroot took a hiatus for 2 years, and are back in 2013 with new Bass player Jeff Naffziger. Bloodroot is currently working on material for a new album, and is hitting the stage once again!
Dwells Within
Dwells Within
Scratching the surface in late 2012, Dwells Within is comprised of five musicians who had already made names for themselves from previous and respective bands. Combining their talents, one goal was in mind: make music that we would not only be challenged by, but would also intrigue us if we were the listener...no reservations, no exceptions, no boundaries. Nasty and brutal, but with its own certain twist. Tired of repetitious breakdowns and predictable structures, Dwells Within decided to carve a sound of its own into the eardrums and foreheads of the metal that most people have come to expect...be forewarned: we are coming.
