Matthew Curry and The Fury
Matthew Curry and The Fury
Matthew Curry, already a veteran performer at 17, released his debut disc “If I Don’t Got You”, at the Castle Theatre in Bloomington, Illinois last October. Their current show includes more energized blues and blues rock with Matthew on vocals and lead guitar, Greg Neville on drums, Erik Nelson on keyboard and Jeff Paxton on bass. MCTF gives you hot guitar, great grooves, cool horns and back-up vocals.

Recently Matthew won an International Songwriting Award in the Blues Category and Blues Blast Magazine has nominated him for an unprecedented three awards: Best Debut CD, Sean Costello Rising Star, and Best Blues song. Along with a busy summer schedule including major music festivals in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Colorado, Matthew Curry & The Fury are quickly gaining industry attention. Now on NPR’s “5 Songs Public Radio Can’t Stop Playing”.

“Hurry to hear Matthew Curry ‘cause he’s got it” (Bryan Lee)

“Matthew is an awesome talent! He has a natural feel on the guitar, as if he was born with a guitar in his hands!" (Ronnie Baker Brooks)
The Sugar Prophets
The Sugar Prophets' sound is heavily rooted in the Blues and Rock N Roll of the 50's-70's with hints of Soul, Jam Band, Country, Jazz, Reggae, Funk, and Rockabilly.

2011 International Blues Challenge Finalist, The Sugar Prophets, are an interesting amalgam of backgrounds and talent that have seemingly merged together in the right time, place, and groove. Fiery singer and harp ace Josh Spence combine with veteran guitar slingers A.J “Apple Jack” Williams and Joe Asselin(formerly of the Kilborn Alley Blues Band), along with a groovin’ rhythm section of Kevin Wilson and Vince “Fuzz” Elam to create their own sweet sound of the Blues! Their raw, intense energy and blue collar lyrics are both danceable and deep.

The Sugar Prophets' debut CD, released Jan. 2011, hit #14 and #21 on the Roots Music Reports Blues Radio Charts and Living Blues Charts, respectively. The self-titled album has also just been nominated for Best New Artist Debut Recording by Blues Blast Magazine. With their long-standing talent, passion, relatable lyrics, and a sound chock full of groove and grit, the band continues to garner new fans and devoted followers wherever they play. The Sugar Prophets are a soul-inspiring locomotive heading straight for your door. Listen up and become a believer in this heartfelt message of amazing music.
